Configuring Windows 2000 for DHCP/Wireless

1. Install your card according to the manufacturer's installation instructions and verify that your drivers are working properly per the manufacturer's specifications.

2. Right-Click on My Network Places and choose Properties . This screen will come up:

3. Right-click on the Local Connection created by your wireless adapter and select Properties .

5. Connect Using should show the name of your wireless adapter. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) then click Properties

2. Right-Click on My Network Places and choose Properties . This screen will come up:

3. Right-click on the Local Connection created by your wireless adapter and select Properties .

5. Connect Using should show the name of your wireless adapter. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) then click Properties

6. Make sure that the machine is obtaining the IP and DNS automatically . Click OK.

7. Reboot your computer.

8. The first time you try to use a web browser, you should be forwarded to the CU hardware registration page. At the registration page, you need to enter in your CU ID and Pin OR your username and Identikey password. You should not enter both. Once you enter your registration information, reboot and you will be ready to use your wireless network card for your network connection.
